Mission
History
FAME was originally visualized and founded in 1995 under the name of Southeast Metro Visual Arts (SEMVAC). The SEMVAC name was changed to Woodbury Artists Guild (WAG) as a shorter, more easily recognizable name and because it fit nicely under our parent organization, the Woodbury Arts Connection and most members were located in Woodbury. As the guild grew to include more artists from the communities surrounding Woodbury, the group's name was again changed to reflect additional members from east metro area. Fine Artists/Metro East is composed of visual artists participating in both two and three dimensional mediums - acrylics, colored pencil, oil, pastel, photography, sculpture, and watercolor.
Applications for membership can be downloaded from our website as well as collected from our many display venues around the Woodbury area.
